    Soup

Posted by Colleen Hoefling on 4th Feb 2021

I used to love this soup when it was packaged with the pasta and seasoning separate from the veggies. I was very disappointed with this soup.it was mostly all pasta and very little peas and lentils. After researching the proportions of ingredients and comparing them to our family recipe, we noticed the proportions of pasta to lentils were incorrect. We have made the necessary corrections. Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention. -Sheri, Cherchies® Specialty Foods

My favorite of all your soups! Even making my own from scratch can't compare to Cherchie's!

I had ordered 3 of this soup and one of the packages had a small hole in it. I had to throw it away.

This was very good! I used mainly vegetable broth instead of water, (4 cups broth, 2 cups h20). I also used smoked sausage instead of ham. Excellent

    Disappointing change

Posted by Unknown on 9th Oct 2018

I used to make this soup all winter long - I would make it on Sunday and have enough servings for lunch through the week, and more. I recently purchased my first package of the season and, although the directions and ingredients appear to be the same, this time it only made about three servings. I also noticed there were almost no lentils at all. I followed the instructions on the package so I'm not sure where the yield discrepancy comes from, if not a change in the product. It's disappointing because it was a winter staple for me, but now it doesn't seem worth the cost and effort for only three servings.

    Bring back old mix!

Posted by ND Ponte on 5th Apr 2018

I have been getting this soup for years from a specialty store. It used to come in a much larger portion with the pea/lentils, seasoning and pasta/sundried tomato in separate packets so they didn’t all cook at the same time. This new quick cooking in addition to making much less soup per package also just isn’t the same. Bring back the original. Sad customer : (
