Back by popular demand with a new look. Jambalaya is a Creole dish of Spanish and French influence. A mixture of vegetables, rice and savory seasonings, cooked with your choices of meats and seafood makes a spicy and hearty dish. Makes approximately 6 (1 cup) servings.
What you will need:
- 5 Cups Water
- 1 Can Petite Diced Tomatoes - 14 oz.
- 1/2 lb. Each of Sausage and Chicken, Cooked & Cut Up
- 1/2 lb. uncooked and peeled shrimp
Preparation:
- Bring 5 cups of water in soup pot to a boil and stir in the contents of the soup package to the pot.
- Reduce heat to simmer. cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, sausage, chicken, and shrimp to the pot.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook an additional 15 minutes.
- Serve with your favorite green salad and fresh baguette.
- For an even spicier flavor add dashes of your favorite hot sauce to individual servings.
Ingredients: Enriched long grain white rice, dehydrated vegetables (onion, red bell pepper, carrot, celery), garlic, paprika, salt, spices, garlic, onion, cayenne chili pepper . Allergens: None.
